FEAR OF PAIN

They have discovered that staring at the needle rather than looking away, as we tend to do, actually lessens pain. The theam discovered this by zapping volunteers´ hands with a laser. Those who could see their hand felt less pain than those who couldn't, proving that pain is intensified by fear.
